What do you think of these leopard jeans?

I am looking around for some lighter grey jeans and for some reason I keep coming back to these Current and Elliott leopard print grey jeans. Be honest with me, are they in style or totally passé? I think these jeans are a few seasons old. I never wear and animal print, but I really like these. Would you go for these, or would plain grey jeans be a much better investment?

I can't say if it's still on trend. I do think you'd look good in these jeans. I also think you could wear them a lot of different ways--that print, subtle for a leopard, looks really versatile to me.

Would these be for casual wear? My preference would be plain grey jeans but this very light grey in jeans always reads as very casual to me.

Me, I would never wear animal print jeans. Animal print scarf, yes, a cami yes. Not jeans.

That said, I am very conservative, and animal print has become a classic. Not so sure about these though. Maybe it is the way the pattern is at the crotch.

But this silver grey animal print would be a total neutral and go with a lot. Can you get them in Canada to Try out without cost?

Sadly, I cannot offer advice as to whether or not they are on trend, but I really like these jeans. A lot. In my eyes, grey jeans are always casual anyway, so the subtle print doesn't make them any more casual than they would have been without the print. I think they are versatile and have just enough interest to be fun without being OTT.

It depends on how much you love the jeans. If they are your style, it won't matter if they are current. The print jeans are just starting to appear here. I really like these.

I like them, Rae, and think you'd look great in them. But it is possible the trend is on the way out. Let's wait until our trendsetters weigh in. Speaking for myself, I see the attraction. I like the subtlety of the pattern and its coolness. Appeals to me, too.

Well, I hardly wear print at all, but for some reason I am totally okay with my ikat print jeans. I think these Current/Elliot ones are very tame, almost a false plain. Patterned jeans seemed very on trend when I was in real malls on our road trip this winter Even the more mature focused brand Not Your Daughters Jeans had several prints and colors on display in Dillard's.

Yes they would be just casual jeans for me. I'm really not an animal print person but I think these are so subtle that's why I like them. I suppose I could just go crazy and get these and plain grey! Lol! Are animal print jeans just TOO much though? I'm worried they are...

Wow, they have these at Old Navy for $20... Certainly wouldn't break the budget to try them, and they look good.

They'll read like a false plain and look a step up in dressiness from plain gray jeans (FWIW I have TWO pairs of gray skinny jeans, I love 'em so). You seem to like simpler, bolder outfits so I think these could be a really fun addition! Would look fab with a colorful oversized silky blouse

Yeah - not a bad idea to try out the cheapies and see how you feel with those. They won't be as good quality but you can get the idea of styling them.

I tried on those ones -- for the price I think they were perfectly fine! I ended up with cheapy black skinnies instead as I do have two pairs of grey ones. Try them!

Yah I just ordered the ON ones! The leopard print on the CE ones is made to look more natural, it's spread out more, but for $20 I think I can handle the uniform pattern of the ON ones!

I recently bought a pair of leopard jeans that are not grey but are what they call cloud leopard. My husband calls them ghost leopard. They have somewhat similar gradations in color to the first pair you showed but more random. They're low rise and I never wear low rise but I liked them that much.

Those are beautiful jeans! I think they would read as a false neutral. I have a pair of grey skinnies in a very subtle print and treat them as neutrals too, they are surprisingly more versatile than I expected them to be.

Thanks all. I am hoping they do read as a false neutral like you guys say. I have a lot of black tops, shoes, jackets, so I think they're a good way to add a bit of texture. I will let you all see, once I get them!

You are totally going to rock the grey leopard! If the ON print is the same as the one on the kid sized one my DD just got, it's pretty subtle and will definitely act as a neutral.

I have a bit of a poison eye for this type of look as it looks a little like loungewear to me. You could totally pull it off but I think you've shown so many other things that are more sophistocated but still edgy and modern.

I think this print is neutral and can look super sophisticated with a flowy white or ivory blouse. I can't wait to see how you style them!

Also, looking forward to hearing what you think about the ON jeans. LOVE that you found this lower priced alternative for a pair of pants that you were worried about, style-wise.

I just bought my first pair of printed ON pants, waiting for them to arrive in the mail. I'm afraid of the quality but for the price and the print (not something I typically do), I was willing to take the risk. I did end up sizing down due to fear of the bag-out factor.
