What do you think of these boots?

My never-ending quest for warm, cute, knee high boots continues. I originally thought these were too casual/gearlike, but I'm giving them a second look now. Since it's soooo cold and snowy and slushy, I really can't wear anything other than my true snow boots or uggs. Are these cute? Too gearlike? I was going to wear them with slim leg jeans and skinnies. Can you see them with a sweater dress or tunic, too?
Maybe that's asking too much of one pair of boots...I see why so many people have a lot of boots.

I like these! They look warm and not too gear-like to me. Wearing with skinnies or jeggings is a given, but I do think you could also put together a cute sweater dress or denim skirt outfit with them, too. What color were you looking at? The dark brown? My favorite!

I like these, but I think you will not find they fulfill all your boot needs, and you will just have to buy more. Poor you!

Hmmm, I'm having a hard time not seeing these as gearish. Admittedly, I don't live where it snows so take that with a grain of salt.

I really like these, if worn in the way you described. Yes, they are casual, but that's appropriate for a casual lifestyle (which I have). Plus, they look warm and comfy, and they're still cute. As someone with over a foot of snow outside my door, that makes them a winner in my book.

I have these boots, and they ARE warm and comfy, and I can wear them for long periods of time...important, as I am recovering from foot surgery at the moment, so needed something for the winter that was easy to wear.

They are definitely casual, but look cute with jeans tucked inside. I have not tried them with a dress...would have to be quite casual and/or winter-y, that's my guess, in order to pull this off. But I love them and they are just perfect for my life right now.

They're very cool, but I think of them as gear. Nice with skinny jeans on a casual day, but probably not with a dress. I love them though, they look cozy!

I like! These could obviously be paired with jeans - but I can also see them with knit dresses and tops. Good luck keeping your feet warm and dry!

i don't love them, but i would wear them on really snowy days.....but yes, i think you need more than one pair of boots!!!

Ok, I'm going to get them. Now, the black or the brown? I like the brown, but the black seems more versatile. I have black, grey, teal, purple and navy in my wardrobe and wear the heck out of my black Uggs. They would be sort of a replacement for my black Uggs worn outside.

Oh, I definitely will need more boots. But, these would fill the wardrobe hole of tall, casual, WARM and not Uggs boots. Part of my shopping problem is that I have so many things I need that I tend to look for 1 item to fill all my needs and then I get frustrated because I can't find it. It's hard for me to think this way though because I've never owned more than 2 pairs of boots at a time before in my life. I already have 5 pairs and I can see needing at least 3 more.

I have the exact same problem with boots - I can't imagine owning more than 2 or 3 pairs. Right now, I have one pair that's total gear - for shoveling the snow and playing in it - and one pair of tall black boots that I wear out. I find myself wishing for brown boots, especially, but they just seem so expensive. But - I do really like this pair. Go for the black for versatility.

I liked the brown ones in the picture but based on the colors you wear I would go with black.
