I name people, pets, stuffed animals, and computers. Computer science people tend to name their computers, and it actually serves a useful purpose when you get into networking and ssh connection sockets.

LOL @ La Belle D. I have a name for the guy with the adjacent parking spot who can't seem to keep his car on his side of the line, or even contained within the edge of the line, but it's not a name I'd use in polite company.

My computers have names on the network and my network has a name and these names reference specific science fiction novels.

I don't name my clothes but the SO sometimes names them for me - one of my sparkly shirts is always referred to by him as the "space shirt".

I don't name any items of clothing at all. My car is called Kevin because the first two letters are KV. I call my sewing machines a few names when things are going wrong though none are repeatable here!

Oh, we liked to name some of our fabbers worthy bags, as Claire's Monthy/Rosie, then GP's MsScarlet. But I guess that's all for fun and for easier refference, you know.
Thus, I usually name my cars, too. My actual car is "Le RoY"- as has the LRY letters in (like Diane said)- it's also black and my biggest car to date-so it deserves the name, I think:-). Just for your refference, my previous car was "Hope" as had HOF in it's number(in German language "hope" stats with these letters), my Hubby's previous was "Just good" as had the beginning letters of that in hungarian in it....also we had them in our somehow corelated (with their names) stages of our life,too... if that makes sense...:-)

Oh, and we name our pets, of course: Daisy, Becky, Milo, Effy, and so...:-)

I only name people and pets myself, I've never named anything related to clothes before. I even named my stuffed animals "Teddy" and "Polar bear" (and so on) when I was little. Only my dolls got real names. Oh and in our family every bathroom cabinet (those hanging ones with a mirror) is called "Alibert". It was the brand of the one my grandparents had when my mum was a child and my Opa had a habit of naming things. Now I always say Alibert, no matter what - I've gotten some strange looks for that.

Bob (hi Rachy!) is the name used quite often around here. But not for things, but for pets that come uninvited to our home. In the winter it is usually a wild cat who likes my cat's catdoor, sofa and dinner. In the fall, it is a bat or two (don't know if I should be blaming the cat for those), and occasionally there are birds, a so on. Bob can be either male or female around here.

Soft toys sometimes and ditto lego people. And the baby.

dont think I ever named a bag...I do like to name rooms, one bathroom is the "museum bathroom" for its decor & collection of oddities....

the MR did name a casual, post-beach, lounge only navy knit dress I wore on our honeymoon the "TARA dress" (for Tara Reid) because its loose V neck occasionally would slide around and show side boob......

@Mo, your BF is hilarious. "icky cat"!
I don't generally name things except I did buy a Gund teddy bear as an adult because I always wanted one as a kid. He is special and named after Thelonious Monk. my Dad built me a rocking horse and his name is "Horse with no name".
A friend named my car for me and it stuck. "Madi Mobile" after our dog. Sadly no longer have the dog and car is gone too.

Here is Thelonious, Horse with no name, and Madi.
