Everything - I'll take all the inspiration I can get!

Things I always enjoy seeing on everyone's posts:

Obviously, photos of outfits! And I like to know things about the whys of why any of us make the choices we make: circumstance (season, weather), purpose of the outfit (work vs. play), your mood when you selected it, the happiness factor once you put it on.. I have gotten so many inspirations and ideas from the WIW posts on these forums.

The other thing I love are photos of clothing capsules! I am fascinated, thrilled, and enchanted with capsules. I guess on the inside, I am always that 12-year kid going shopping for a back-to-school capsule, and taking pictures of potential outfits. There have been so many brilliant ideas and insights on these forums. You have all really shaped how I choose my outfits - and how I edit and purge my closet.

I like to see it all too. Dressy or casual from fabbers who are just finding their style to people who have nailed it - I find them all inspirational.

Ok I have to admit there is a huge disconnect on what people are saying on this thread and what reality is in comments on WIW's. I've posted the gamut from opera outfits, to going out to pretty darn casual. My most casual outfits (eg today) generate the least comments.

Weekends are tough. I'm not much online and that coincides with when I wear my most casual outfits.

Anyways, do you have a dog, IK? If you do, I'd be interested in what you do for dog walking gear. Things associated with specific home activities, anyways.

Hehe, I'd like to see everyone's aprons...

Dang, should have bought that pretty apron the other day!

What I like in WIW is seeing the same item reworked different ways. Maybe not all in the same week, but just by seeing someone post shots over time, yu notice a particular item and see that it has been reworked into a new outfit. But IK I do wonder about how many of your black jackets you use, because you mentioned you have so many. I keep getting tempted by extra black jackets myself!

Anna, I for one am not really around on the weekends, so tend to miss a lot of what happens on the weekend.

I think it is a futile and sad-making exercise to equate comments with interest too. I got hung up on that at the beginning of joining here but I am much happier ignoring the quantitative aspects of feedback and enjoying the qualitative.

I second Ceit. I am not around as much on weekends, especially in the summer.

I do like seeing all outfits on people of all shapes and sizes. Even if is is an outfit they struggled with or is not "perfect". Okay, especially when it is not perfect as I learn a lot from the tips to take it up a notch,

IMO at-home outfits are fantastic - lifestyles are so casual these days, my mom-at-home, work-from-home needs are very inspired by real-life casual outfits! So these are my faves!

I was thinking about what Anna said above, about casual outfits generating the fewest comments. It seems that people like and want to see "everyday" casual outfits because they're achievable. However, they are not so amazing that anyone can really think of many different ways to comment on them, so they don't get very many comments. Unusual outfits just generate more discussion (and sometimes debate), therefore more comments. But people might file "everyday" outfits away for inspiration without commenting, and in that sense, prefer to see those.

Any and all and thoughts on what works, what you are not sure works , how you felt in the outfit and what occassion you wore it for... Even a Mom on the Go is an occassion...

I agree with what Ana just said. There might be less to say about a casual outfit. But that does not mean it goes unnoticed or unappreciated.

I learn something from each and every outfit post. I learn new combinations, get inspiration for remixing my own clothes, and about outfit flattery. I try to look at as many WIW's as I can!

To echo the other gals, my time online varies in and around working and weekend stuff, and I almost never get to 'catch up' on the posts here, because there are so many active members So I try and comment where I can. But that doesn't mean I don't love seeing what your outfits

Usually there seems to be a sense of greater 'urgency' with the special occasion and dress-up outfits, so it may be that's why people comment more on those

Oops, I meant LIKE Gap pants and great shoes (not, "not like"). Sorry if that confused anyone, because I am really enjoying the "leave no retail stone unturned" rather than assuming that only certain brands have great things.

I enjoy looking at the casual to dressy casual outfits because that's part of the look I'm working on achieving. I don't post as much as a I should because ususally by the time I see it, everyone has given the suggestions I would give and I worry about sounding like a broken record if I always say "Very nice" or "Great outfit".

I haven't posted much lately because I haven't felt like I've done any great outfits. I also feel like that until I can find pants the right length (32-33 inseam), I don't want to keep getting called out for my pants being too short.

Edit: I'm only teasing about getting called out. But I do need to get on the ball about find those pants.

I enjoy looking at any and all outfit posts and can learn from all of them, even when they are styles very different from mine.

I really appreciate casual outfit posts because that is the area I struggle the most with. I've been in the administrative business world for 25 years and am much more comfortable with my business wardrobe and style. I'm trying to "up" my casual life though so can learn through others.

As for equating number of comments with interest, I really think that shouldn't even be considered. I find when you post your outfit thread has the most influence on how many comments you receive. For example, I find the forum has the least amount of traffic on Sundays so it isn't the casual outfit itself that causes there to be a smaller number of comments, it's simply because it's Sunday.

It is an interesting thread. First I want to say that I need a Kiki apron. After Angie posted some months ago about using an apron to cook I though DOH - what a super idea! I picked up a couple of the dollar store but need to up my apron fashion.

I am encouraged and slightly stunned that any of you would want to see any of my outfits because I can assure you they are not special. I think Peri stated earlier today that selfies are pretty hard on the self esteem and I agree. I cannot think of a single outfit that I have photographed (not posted) and said "wow, that is a keeper".

I wonder if photographing the capsule (for the daily outfit) would be interesting? What to you ladies think?

Yes, go for it! I honestly love seeing all the variety expressed here.
