Now that I've decided the BCBG duke jacket won't work for me, I'm on the hunt for other cropped (truly cropped for me, as opposed to cropped for people with more normal longer waists) jackets. I came across this military style one on the Nordie's site last night. The length is supposedly 14.5" which would be truly cropped on me (for reference the duke jacket is 16 and change).
But is the military style getting passe? I would probably size up and not wear it as tight as the model has it here.
Also, is it not dressy enough to wear with things like my coral dress? (For example, to a wedding or other dressy event.) I'd want to be able to wear it both with dresses and over things like tunic/jeans combos.
