velvet looks sooo great when new. then i get crush marks on the inside thighs from crossing my legs and chub rub, then i think the same thoughts when i see rumpled linen.
Beautiful in theory, difficult in execution. Velvet is a lovely fabric, but I can't do it as pants. Echoing BJ above for wear issues. I much prefer it as a jacket or top.
I'd have to see the actual item in play. The picture certainly isn't slouchy. Sizing up might work. So much depends on the nap of the velvet and the stiffness of the fabric.
