What do we think about this vest from Zara?

I was on Zara's website after just learning that we can actually now order online (dumb me) and I was looking at some of their toppers. This vest caught my eye and I wondered what others thought of it?

I was just in SFO a few days ago and tried to find the vest in store, the SA had no idea what I was talking about. I want that vest too! I see it is sold out on line but it says, "Back Soon!"

I do like the looks of it but for me and my life, I can't think of anywhere I would wear it. Just a little too "out-there" for my taste, I guess.

Yes, sadly it does seem to out of stock for awhile but I will keep my eye on it! I hope Janet and Nancylee wear theirs soon so and post so I can enjoy them vicariously!

PSA: If you mash the "Back Soon" a window will pop up asking you to enter your email address and if the item is back in stock within 2 weeks, then they will contact you.

I was placed on a waiting list last week for a size small. It came in and I am waiting for it to arrive as it shipped yesterday. So, a thumbs up.

I have the jeans they show as well, but will wear a light weight cotton top with 3/4 sleeves underneath the vest. I prefer to cover my upper arms.

Any other styling ideas?

Meredith, I don't think it seems like you. I can see you in a more traditional denim vest like the one I posted a while back from Madewell.

Since my last post about 30 minutes ago, I went to check out my wardrobe to scope out possible outfits. I collect neutrals in batches. There are several ideas running in my head:
gray J Brand jeans + matching gray 3/4 sleeve top + ZARA vest
black waxed J Brand jean cropped jeans + 3/4 sleeve top (black) + ZARA VEST + black pumps
Eileen Fisher wide leg black/grey/brown slacks + black or gray top + ZARA VEST
black sleeveless maxi dress + Alexander Wang linen top (thin stripes) over maxi, black Obi belt + ZARA VEST

I have a pair of nude J Brand jeans, but do not have a tan/beige/nude tee.

I have some playing around to do.

Just received my vest today via Fed Ex. It has a nice weight, looks very sharp on, and is a versatile piece. The soft lines, texture and color offsets the biker/zipper style and mixes beautifully with several outfits. It can be an asset for women of a certain age who want a cool new look without sacrificing their elegance and good taste. I love this piece and will be scoping Zara for future choices.

You might want to call the Zara in Georgetown (Washington, DC) and see if they still have some. That's where Janet and I bought ours.
