Ha, Khris took the words out of my mouth! I'm chuckling about how they've christened this thing a "waist pouch", probably trying to to away with all American tourist or sport associations.
I had a friend at uni called Fanny. I love her name on her (pretty sure it was a nn for Frances, which is my middle name so obviously I love it) but I do remember warning her NEVER to visit England. Or at least use a pseudonym if she did. People here find it *hilarious* if I mention her.
That brings back memories of a neighbor girl called Fanny. Her mother was always saying, "my little Fanny..."

Hm. Maybe. I'm interested to see it on. I think the main thing is to see if it can slouch/drape in a flattering way. I remember older stuffing theirs to be very full and blocky at amusement parks back in the day, and it wasn't too cute.
Oooh, I'm a bit dubious... I see bumbags and think tourists and hikers. My main objection to these is that they tend to distort the clothes they are worn over (and also that they are usually in really unattractive material).
But I can see how the one you have pictured is different to those - maybe you could show us a photo of you wearing one to ease my troubled mind!
This is too funny, before I read anyone's answers I was thinking that if anyone can make this work, it is you Louise; only to read that a couple of YLFers have said exactly the same thing
I would wear it over a longer top, around your tiny waist, so the front is slightly lower than the back and the bag part is a bit askew (not perfectly centered). I think you can make it work! Think of it like a belt.
I heard something on the radio the other day about the return of the old 'bumbag'. Apparently Riahanna wore one recently and inspired the new crazy! I would like to see how you style it before I could say for sure if I like it. Certainly the colour and stud detail are up-to-date so maybe it will look cool!
