Gold, Beth!! I better not introduce you to my editors if I want to keep my job!

So much, as I lost weight I had to re-think my wardrobe and my style and YLF ladies were certainly a big inspiration and help!

You guys a SOO funny, thanks for picking up and being a part of the story!!!

Hilarious!!

I guess I'd better not be part of the Oceans 14 team as they'd catch us "red-handed". As captain of Team Red I couldn't help but insert the bad pun!

What I learned:
- That I can shop in my closet just as easily as at the mall and rediscover things
- There are more ways to reduce skirt orphans
- Dresses are no longer intimidating and one of the easiest ways to create an ensemble.

Thank you Angie for your continued guidance and brilliance.

How did I miss this thread? It has devolved into the caper of 2011! I doubt i will be up for the heist but I am willing to provide snacks!

I learned that mirrors can lie, and that photos are SO much more helpful!

Loved the bank heist story -- as one who enjoys the thrill of hunting down expensive items for less, I find the robbery concept thrilling!

Laura, the conversation couldn't be had under a big fat 'bank heist' heading, could it? The Oceans 14 team aren't hijacking, they're just hiding here

Beth, I do believe CNN added that the staff had never encountered such NICE bank-robbers!

LOL Lynne! Yes, very polite felons. A few minor style tips might have been mentioned as the getaway car squealed away.

A red Volkswagen, possibly?

Haha. FUNNY!!

Even if we got caught...no eveidence...not a dime left... receipts destroyed.....what say you defense counsel?

A red VW will pick you all up at midnight. Please bring snacks for the chauffeur - like dense chocolate cake and shortbread.

Head to toe black? Count me out

And don't forget - everyon must wear their black microfishnets over your heads for disguise. . .

Musn't forget my 2010 style lessons:
that I must be true to my own personal style no matter what's on trend
that dresses are my friend
that alterations are good
that I must not buy clothing too large anymore
that there are so many fun ways to wear pearls
that structured bags are better style and better for my shoulders

Also, to avoid that nasty tendency I have to buy "Saturday night" clothes instead of things I can wear any day (who was it recently discussed that idea?)

Taylor, you would have a good headstart - in Maria Killams post on her shopping trip with Angie, it took all of 8MINUTES to buy premium jeans! As long as you didn't get distracted at the cake counter you'd be out of there in no time

Ms Maven, sorry for derailing....I finally realized in 2010 that expensive doesn't equal stylish eta ie just because something is expensive doesn't mean it will be stylish on me, which is kind of counterintuitive to the above...but those girls are WAY ahead of me in their style journey so maybe I'll be joining the Oceans 19 or 20 team

Anyone mind if I bring biscuits for the decoy?

hehehe This is a riot!!

How about an alibi in Australia? I'll confirm you are all here visiting! Just find some loot to send over and I'll be happy

As for what I've learned...

hmmm EVERYTHING!!!

But, probably the biggest thing I guess, is that after 11 months, I've finally truly *got* where I want to head and just what my wardrobe needs!

I love this story - I think that bank robbery outfits should be posted.

Am happy to provide a London based hideout if needed...

Personally, I think a red Mini Cooper would be more stylish. I learned to wear tunics or dresses with leggings or skinny jeans (late, I know). I'm thinking of signing up for the remedial class in how to wear boots over skinny jeans.

Well, As seasoned POWER shoppers I am sure we could pull this heist of in less than 3 min!! After all , we know what we are after...and nothing to try on!

Let's not forget treats for Reva!

Fi, may be looking you up for a temporary hideout. shhh Theresa...fab alibi!

..the only clue left behind was a faint whiff of Earl Grey tea mixed with chocolate cake :).
