what decade?

Bought a vintage pattern online to make a suit. I don't know what era it is but I really like the style. I'm going to see if I can find someone who can make it for me. Anyone know the era or have any suggestions for fabric and styling?

Sally, firstly the pattern is stunning and so elegantly simplistic; at a guess I would say that it is vintage 1970's. The pattern should make some recommendations regarding fabric type on the back. Don't veer too far from their recommendations - they are the experts

What a beautiful pattern, it will be stunning once finished. I always find it quite intimidating to choose fabric (not a sewer here) but exciting and fun at the same time.

Yes, I vote 70's too, because I had a similar suit (Not Dior!) when I started my business career in the late 70's. I think it will look gorgeous in a spring-summer weight gab or silk blend, or any number of choices. Would love to see what you choose.

I wore a suit very similar to that for my high school graduation in 1976. It was made out of an off-white thick crinkly woven cotton and I loved it!.
