I kinda agree with Thistle about cuffing being more of a warm-weather thing, for aesthetic reasons if not strictly practical ones. But then, I think that some of the cuffing styles shown in that blog post are still pretty fringe 'in the real world'. Obviously, if you like how they look go for it and ignore me.
I tend to wear ankle boots with straight cuts or bootcuts, with the jeans worn over, and only show the whole bootie when I'm wearing a skirt or dress.
