what colours do you wear in the summer months?

I just wondered what colours you tend to wear in the summer months?. I used to mix and match using summer colours with my staples of black and navy but since I live in a hot climate in a tourist area I used to get comments about me wearing ''winter clothes''.....I assume they meant the dark garments. Most of the people I meet when out are tourists and they tend to bring summer wardrobes they would not wear at home so it set me puzzling what other people wear in the summer.

I wear coral, aqua, white, brown, denim tones, emerald, cream, navy. That about covers my summer clothes. Though I may be adding to my summer wardrobe with some more emerald as its *the* colour this year.

I wear brown, tan, purple, pink, yellow, rust, turquoise, teal...probably some others too. When I used to wear black I wouldn't wear it as a solid colour; I'd wear a black skirt or dress that had a lighter floral print on it.

Lots of whites-some taupe, greys, and some denim! And then some brights(coral, turquuoise), too(to the whites) but mostly black, navy and chocolate.

Black. White. Raspberry. Leopard print in either brown tones or grey tones. Black and White.
Brown and White. Last year experimented with some Mint, Deep Aqua. Emerald.

Surprisingly, I wear a lot of black tops or dark prints. That way I can get away with thinner fabrics and not have to worry about layering with a tank/camisole.

White, black, navy, taupe, orchid, blues, denim blue, raspberry, fuchsia...basically all the same colours I wear in the winter, but I do lighten up with more whites than usual and the fabrications are lighter. I live in a 4 season climate. For me, the biggest change in seasonal clothing is the fabric weight and also I go sleeveless with a lot (a LOT) less layering.

I can go the whole summer without any black, except in prints. I wear a lot of white, cream, light grey, navy, lime green, coral, turquoise, cobalt. A few mid tones, like orchid and butter yellow and periwinkle. But mostly I'm a brights with light neutrals girl in the summer.

Since I'm really into classics and fall like you are (these colors look better on me). In the summer I wear a lot of white or soft grey as my base color instead of as much black (did I mention I love black?), pops of navy, red, nude, purple. Usually I have some accenting accessories in gold. I guess I'm not super into color but I feel summer means more lighter colors so I do have one classic pink sweater that I wear with white and navy.

I'll still wear black in the summer!

I tend to wear of lot of denim, all shades of white, white and black, navy, lighter greys; then all shades of blues and greens and pinks and purples. In the summer I gravitate towards the lighter versions of those four colors. This summer I plan to focus on all white, white and black combos, bright blues and greens, and cool pastels (mint, blush, lilac, baby blue).

I almost reverse my winter to summer with no major black, no grey, no brown, and little red, hot pink or dark green.

Same as always - black, grey, jewel tones, dark saturated colors, and some brights. But I do try to add in some more white, and bare legs always lightens things up too. (I hardly ever wear long pants in summer, so you can always see some bare skin.)

I made a little palette to help me think about my colors: the columns are winter - neutrals - accents - summer. You can see - trying to do lighter versions of the same color family for the summer.
It helps me remember if I'm looking at something in linen, I probably want it from the right side colors or the light grays. And if it's a heavy Fall or Winter item, it will play better in my closet if it's from the deeper colors.

I do change my palette from fall/winter to spring/summer but I definitely wear black (now switching to navy) basics mixed in with brights! Colours I wear in winter, but not summer so much would be darker greys, dark purple, dark teal & emerald, hunter green, purely dark stripes (ie/ grey and black stripes - but I would wear black or navy striped with lighter colours).
Now when I go to resorts I wear more flowy fabrics, florals etc - things I wear less at home in the big city. I might notice the "locals" wearing jeans, other long pants, dress shirts etc, things that look hot and formal relative to the lifestyle I *imagine* - but I don't comment because I realize they have real lives there, not my vacation fantasy life!

I add a lot more grey into the mix in summer, rather than just black. Keeps me looking fresh!
Honestly, I wear the same colors all year round, just lighten up the fabrications. And by same colors, I mean black, grey, black, white, teal, black, red, and of course: black!

I wear more black in the summer than any other season. I like black, dark brown, navy, and white for summer. Early summer i use more color, but quickly it feels too warm. I may try to add green for hot weather.

I wear navy/ink/dark blue all year round. I find I wear more white in summer - only because it is always available, not through choice. I love that european look of dark colours in summer & light colours in winter.

I used to try and wear typically summery colors in the summer, but they did not flatter my skintone or personality. Now, I have both summer and winter versions of items in my same signature colors. This means I end up wearing plenty of black and gray and rust in summer as well as yellow, orange, and lime in winter... And I feel myself year round.

I wear the same colors year round. I'm a winter and look good in black, white, charcoal gray, and bright jewel tones like red, maroon, dark blues, turquoise, etc.

White, light gray, taupe, faded denim blue, and any very bright color that I'm fancying that year I don't wear a lot of black, but it is useful since my hair is almost black.

I live in a resort town and all winter tourists come from the north and wear their summer clothes (in temps that feel chilly to us).

This spring I'm really gravitating to navy and cream with tan and khaki tones. I wear black, white and denim blue as well. Last year I wore a lot of color, and tried to break up our long hot summer by changing out the different colors I wore to make a Spring, Summer and Fall (all super hot). I either got tired of the brights or the mediocre quality of the clothing I had, so this year I'm thinking about keeping things more neutral. We'll see how it goes!

This last summer in FL I found myself wearing plenty of white along with my usual 4 colors - red, purple, green and blue. Jewel tones work for me and don't necessarily say 'fall' or 'summer' to me until you pair them with sandals vs boots, or the fabrication is heavier or lighter. For instance, I have a berry purple light weight cardigan that is just as fitting in August over white shorts and sandals as it is black jeans and boots in winter.
