What colour scarf for baby blue trench coat?

Hello everyone! Just came across this forum and signed up. Can’t seem to find the search button - under pressure! Lol! Am heading to Italy to meet up with friends. My friend’s mum is elderly and very skinny, I think around 70s or 80s and feels cold in the evenings and in air conditioned places. She was wearing my friend’s jumper when I last met them before they set sail on a cruise. I’ve now just bought a baby blue trench coat for her as the weather is starting to cool down and I will be seeing them again very soon. I’d like to buy a scarf to go with the coat but not sure what colour to get... she’s got white hair, fair skin, English origin. What do you think would go with the baby blue trench...?

Maybe a soft cream or white would look nice with the baby blue and her hair? Or blush??

How about a lavender, lilac or clear purple scarf? That might be unexpected, but blues and purples can be so beautiful together! Or choose a printed scarf in various blue shades, perhaps with white/blush/beige added to the mix. A printed scarf in pink/peach plus white/cream would be another lovely option.

I like red with baby blue. Especially if you can find a print that includes both colors.

I like a print that has some baby blue but maybe some other colors of interest. Maybe a plaid, floral, or something with some polka dots, it can be classic, but it would be fun to add a bit more color.

I had ordered the scarf Bonnie suggests, it’s a very lightweight cashmere. Airy and soft. I returned it because I had too many scarves and didn’t really need it, but it is very nice and could be a good option, although it depends on the trench color. This scarf is not particularly vibrant, it has a slightly grey tint to the colors.

Hi everyone! Thank you all so very much for your ideas! Loved each and every one of them! Tried very hard to find the colours suggested but it was very difficult! In the end, I stumbled upon a scarf with pink, lavender and baby blue! The blue is exactly the same as the blue of the trench coat! Can’t wait to give it to my friend’s mother...! Thanks so much again for all the great ideas and suggestions!!! Wish I could post a photo of it!
