I realized this type of outfit might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I've been obsessed with the idea of wearing a cropped semi-sheer or otherwise somewhat revealing boxy top, with a long-line bralette peeking out from underneath, paired with a high-waisted long white pleated skirt. I saw a woman wearing an outfit like this and since then I've been trying to find the pieces to recreate it.

I've been having difficulty finding the right boxy top but I think this one from Zara might do though it's not at all similar to what the woman I saw wore. I sized up in order to make it boxier. It comes in mustard...what color would you wear underneath? I want something contrasting...was thinking of turquoise but perhaps navy blue would do?

I haven't received the top or shirt yet from Zara so it's possible they won't work for me at all, but I'm hoping to wear this outfit out this summer! Funny that I didn't wear anything revealing when in my early 20s but a decade later I'm into showing more skin (though I don't think this is THAT revealing of an outfit).
