What Color Carsons?

I feel emboldened by Angie's post today to consider the Black, or Vintage black. Other options might be Saddle, or Dark Brown for bookending my hair.

There are also light brown, taupe, tan, fawn - which might work better in the warm LA climate. Help?

gosh, there are too many great colors to choose from. I'm thinking if you already have alot of black and brown footwear, go for the taupe or smoke for something different.... plus it will take you into spring more easily than black.

One more question, Tara: Are you thinking of wearing them with blue jeans most of the time? Or with black pants too?

Hmmm ... mostly jeans for now.

If I love them, I might consider two pairs ... I'm hoping to transition to other casual pant options in 2011, so black trousers might be in the mix (urban modern classic/Diane Keaton look, or is that too dated now?)

Curious to hear what Angie thinks. My Carson boots are a deep emerald green which I love. I find dark shoes in a color are easier to wear than plain black--especially with black jeans. It seems to make the overall look less severe.

I like the tan leather best. It will go nicely with any shade of blue jean, and work well with black outfits too. My second choice would be the dark brown leather if you really favor a dark shoe. Then you would have dark, but not black itself.

For your style, I vote "black vintage leather", or the dark brown - but only if you also promise to wear non black tops/scarves too. Deal? If you'd prefer to stick to black tops and jackets, I'm throwing slate grey into the mix.

I'm smitten with the black vintage and the slate. They're both lovely.

Tara, I have a pair of similar Fryes in the distressed dark brown and I'm surprised how versatile they are, even though I wear very few brown or earth tone colors.
