The trendiest -- which might not be what I'd buy, or you'd buy -- are double breasted, glen plaid or otherwise patterned, boyfriend blazers with strong shoulders (but not huge shoulders). Photo for reference. It seems like such a flash-in-the pan trend and I doubt it'll have longevity.
I did spend a while searching for one when I needed interview clothes. But I think my frame isn't quite right for the look, I couldn't find a mid-range version in a good quality fabric, and I wasn't sure I'd wear it aside from one or two interviews. Instead I finally settled on a similar look - a masculine but not oversized blazer from J Crew in glen plaid wool. I bought it used online and unfortunately it's too big, which is a shame.
