This year I’m lucky enough to be going on a girls summer vacation. Long nights, endless cocktails, and amazing sunshine. Bring it on. Believe it or not one of my favourite parts of the holiday is packing my suitcase! It always puts me in a great mood for the exciting times ahead. I consider myself a packing pro, so allow me to impart my wisdom of holiday essentials for a girls vacation:

Flight Material
Whether it’s just a quick 2 hour trip or a long-haul flight, you need to make sure you’ve got your flight bag sorted. I always like to bring ear plugs and flight socks – particularly if it’s going to be a long journey. Reading material is a must! Bring one or two magazines or download one ready on your tablet/phone to read on flight mode. There are some great news apps you can download and use whilst in flight. It’s always worth bringing a good book for lounging by the pool as well as on the plane. Remember to pack a few sweet treats for the journey too!

Makeup Must-Haves
I keep my makeup pretty simple when I’m on holiday, because I like for my face to tan as much as possible (it’s always the last thing to tan). Instead of using regular foundation I stick to a BB cream with SPF or powder, just so it doesn’t sit as heavy on my skin. I also bring a waterproof mascara and eyeliner without fail, panda eyes are never a good look. The most important product in my makeup bag is my mini bottle of sunscreen. Protecting your skin is essential when you’re constantly under the sun’s glare all day.

Beachwear Style
You didn’t travel all that way to not look perfect when you hit the beach. Be sure to pack your favourite women’s designer swimwear for those lazy days relaxing on the beach. Cut-out swimsuits are particularly fashionable this summer 2018, along with the classic two piece styles switched up with crotchet designs. If it’s a week long holiday I prefer to bring two beach outfits, but if you think you can fit more in your suitcase – go for it!

Accessories Galore
Accessorising your beach attire is an ideal way to effortlessly add glamour. Body chain jewellery has risen to fame over the last five years, and this year is no exception. Not only does it accentuate your natural form, but it also looks beautifully stylish. So-called “tiny sunglasses” have slipped onto the fashion radar this summer, with crazy shapes hitting stores. If you’re feeling brave, then why not give them a go and try something new? Just bring a spare pare of your favourite sunglasses too.

Get Packing!
So, there you have it. Packing essentials for your amazing girls holiday. I also love bringing a polaroid camera to catch the best moments. Sure we all have cameras on our phone now, but polaroids can’t ever be erased – so you keep the memories forever.
