I adore prints!
Florals of most kinds. More colors versus 1-2 colors are better and what I tend to lean toward. I will wear just about any floral so long as the scale and colors feel right. Ditzy prints probably aren't my best, but I'll wear them if I love the item's overall color, style, and vibe.
Tartan plaids. They have to be visually complex, not just plain 2 or 3 color Buffalo check style. I find them really striking, especially in berries, deep crimson, etc.
Paisley. As long as it's really rich with more colors and visual complexity, I will wear it. Not my favorite compared to florals, but I have purchased some for this autumn and am curious to try it.
Abstract prints. Items like what Anthropologie used to offer from 2005-2015 or so. Don't have it currently in my wardrobe but really like it when it's the right piece.
Ethnic prints. I don't own atm, but enjoy these as well.
Stranded knitting and larger Fair Isle motifs. These are more of a knitting thing, but they fall under print, I think. Another favorite.
Animal. Leopard is my top fave. I won't pass on warm colored print in zebra or snake skin.
Tortoiseshell. For accessories. I love the warmth and deep smoldering glow of a rich tortie eye frame or accessory. One of my cats is even a chocolate tortie ha!
Fruit prints. Mostly apples, peaches and pears. Don't own anything RTW in this print currently but bought some pear print fabric that I'm excited to sew up. I like 1-2 pieces for a touch of whimsy.
Herringbone. This might be more of a texture? I do love seeing it in fabrics.
Single "mono" prints -- like a giant tiger's head or pear knit into a sweater. Have plans to knit one of these for my own.
Camo. I like it best in warm olives. Just adore it for activewear. Idk why.
I rarely wear or choose stripes. I have one striped dress and I like it. I prefer stripes to be diagonal or very subtle pinstripe. I love stripes on others but I always feel a little weird when I try wearing them -- much as I really, really want to love wearing them.
