What are you not reaching for these days?

I'm sad to report I'm not reaching for my blazers as much - I'm finding the comfy sweaters too tempting and easy right now. Also not wearing my solid colored skinnies and wondering if those were a bandwagon I shouldn't have jumped on. Still have a few cardigans that need some love or else a new home.

Anyone else neglecting whole wardrobe tribes?

Skirts and dresses. And it's not because I don't want to wear the skirts and dresses, it's because I don't want to wear the tights that I have to wear with them to not die of cold. So fussy to put them on and adjust the waistband and have to do that every time I go to the bathroom. Anyway, I've worn a couple of skirts but only for more dressy things lately. I'm sure I'll get sick of pants after a while though and want to switch things up a bit.

Silky blouses. I love them, but they're not insulating enough right now and don't layer as well as I'd like (I like perky collars)

Opposite of you - cardigans. I don a light jacket when I can here, but the cardis are feeling kinda frumpy and mom-ish to me ATM. I only brought 2, so no loss if they sit there lol.

EDIT: possible solution might be to button them up and wear them like a pullover. (they're deep v neck)

blazers & skirts. I have been trying to change things up a bit in my wardrobe & add a bit of structure with 3 new blazers. Only I find they are just sitting in the closet looking pretty....while I wear cardigans or knit motos to work.

Like Diana Im feeling Skirts just feel too fussy with tights and all that....Might also be because I have been fighting bronchitis for like 6 weeks and am just tired! I'd wear my PJS to work if I could

Trousers for work, I'm almost exclusively wearing skirts and dresses. Cardigans - I'm loving pull over sweaters much more these days. To a lesser degree, pencil skirts - I'm favoring full and a-line skirts.

I'm altitude down on knee high boots. I wonder if that will change as the season progresses.

Same as Rebekah: blazers and skirts. I'm not sure about the skirts just yet. They may be just a summer item for me, but I'm thinking blazers aren't really my style. I'm not a structure seeker. I think they may be on their way to the consignment shop some day soon.

Skirts/dresses! Too cold, and I don't like fussing with tights, and they are not a good fit with my job duties.

My crisp button-front shirts. I thought they would be workhorses, but I guess it is just such a drapey/soft blouse season that they seem out of place. Maybe if I had some thick, slouchy trousers... but I don't. Not purging those, though, because I know I will want them someday!

I am also not reaching for my colored skinnies. Definitely contemplating a purge there.

Button up shirts - crisp or drapey.

And obviously I'm really slow re: colored skinnies 'cause you and Rae aren't wearing yours and I just bought my first pair - lol!

I bought a bunch of colored skinnies last year, and I *never* want to wear them. This year, I bought several silk equipment shirts, but I haven't figured out how to wear them.

Putting on colored skinnies this morning.

Interesting about the colored skinnies. I never bought into that trend. I think because patterned skinnies came out soon thereafter and I loved those so much more (and am still wearing them). The closest I come to colored skinnies is my mustard jeans which are really much more neutral than bright.

Pants. I am heading back to my long skirts, as frumpy as they are. I just want more fluid fit and more movement. The pants don't do that.

Trousers (I am looking at you Editors- anyone came up with other trouser options?), form fitting tops, especially if a knit, bretton stripes, cardigans and I hate 90% of my blazers right now. I am loving the longer silhouette, lower button stance on the newer blazers so I am not reaching out for the others.

Super-skinny jeans. I have a pair of great legging jeans that I used to wear all the time with flowy blouses, and I just rarely feel like it now. I don't know if it's because I gained two pounds (not a chance I care about, but perhaps enough to make a subconscious difference in comfort/fit) or because I'm tired of the look or because of a broader shift in fashion towards looser clothes.

Jeggings have just been purged - not sure I ever should have got them in the first place.

Also button-front shirts, especially long sleeved ones. I like them, I have several of them but I just don't reach for them. Maybe because I find them too warm for summer and not warm enough for winter? Our in-between seasons are very short and I prefer dressing in something I can layer in the mornings but remove during the day.

Pants. skirts. Tops. It's boot season here so I am on a major leggings jag (with dresses, tunics, long sweaters. Lots of blazers, long cardigans getting a work out. Jeans I love on weekends - but if I can't just toss it on, look good and go then it's way too complicated!

I'm not getting rid of my blazers just yet but I am also not feeling them as much these days. I am wearing a few of my new oversized black and white patterned sweaters with everything to work now, and they really don't need a topper.

Cardigans here, too. I have a million of them, and I love them, but I just don't feel "dressed" without a jacket.

I haven't worn any of my dresses this season. Oh well. My go-to are my soft and cozy cardigans that I've recently gotten from Anthro.

I also struggle with the tights and skirts/dresses thing, but I find it's more of a mental hurdle than an actual one. I don't mind wearing them once they are on. And I do like the variety they add to my wardrobe. In fact, I quite enjoy them at this at this time of year, between bare legs and snow (knock on wood).

Cardigans are definitely sitting in my closet these days. And this is not necessarily a bad thing... I think I have several that weren't the right shape for me, so this will help me purge them guiltlessly (I'm bad at purging). But mainly they are sitting as I enjoy a new interest in jackets, and slouchy drapey sweaters.

Button-down shirts, none of which are very warm, and all of which drive me crazy layered under and over stuff. And really, anything with less than a 3/4 sleeve.

Skirts and layering shell tops, which have been a staple for YEARS. I don't know what's going on, but I think I really like cozy lately, and those items are not cozy to me.

Mo, maybe my post wasn't clear- I am definitely not wearing my cardis!

Tights and skirts are a huge pain for me what with needing a slip and fussing with hems and boots. Once I am dressed, though, they are comfy. This is why I'm searching for the right cashmere dress. Something dressy yet cuddly to throw on and go = dream come true! I did keep and wear the Allsaints dress and it was an easy look, but I'm craving something even more soft and cozy.
