That's sad, Loulou. We had a family cat pass away on Thanksgiving, and it's still tough for some of us!

I love my mom. Aside from my husband, she is my best friend and always will be. She was a single mom for most of my childhood and raised me and my two sisters during the toughest time of her life. Her favorite gift is when we thank her and tell her we love her, but of course I love giving her a small token.
She has beautiful skin tone and lovely silver hair. Think Diane Keaton.
She has recently expressed interest in making over her style, so I'm thinking something like this:

She's always so practical and never puts herself first, so I like to find her things she'd never get on her own. So either something like this or a lovely outfit.
We try to get my MIL something similar so we aren't "playing favorites", although her tastes are somewhat different.
