It's time for a book post. I am reading The Great Stewardess Rebellion.
Absolutely fascinating and truly shocking to read about how women were treated in workplace in the 1960's, particularly as we are in this fraught time where any aspect of women's rights are under siege. We've come a long, long way, and not one inch can be allowed to be taken back.

I want my 92 yr old Dad to read this. He worked in HR for a major corporation for his whole career, and was very involved in labor negotiations, equal rights, non-discrimination, and recruiting minorities and women to the company, and then to meaningful positions, in the 1960's and beyond.

I've also read a couple of Navy SEAL things this summer - a terrible memoir I won't recommend (bad writing, frightening attitude), and a super sad biography that is going to be made into a movie soon. It really made me cry...so, you're warned. Fearless, by Eric Blehm. About Adam Brown. There was a major article in the NYT today about the horrors of SEAL BUD/S training, and the deaths that result from Hell Week. Something has to change.
