What about this sandal?

Saw this on the DSW website. I have a pair of gladiators from Target that are on their last legs. These would be MOTG wear. Dated or still current?

Still on trend if Lucky Mag is right. It's one of the must have shoes for spring.

Apparently I can read minds too :)... Must be a latent talent I am now just discovering.
Actually I was good at reading trends way back. I kept my skinnies from 1998 and then they started trending in 2004ish. I kept my pointy toe pumps which I am now going to wear and not buy new ones from 2006. Gladiators I feel might have some longevity because they are practical like ballet flats, they stay on the feet and look dressy enough. Some common sense always keeps them retail trend worthy.

I'm a firm believer in black dress pants. I also believe in buying what works for you, if you don't feel a trend is worth trying don't do it. I mean magazines are telling us it's okay to wear a see through shirt and show your bra. My early 20s self might think that's cool but my 30s self says no way! I might try a slightly looser pant but with slim legs but I'm more firmly a skirt/dress girl. I just wear what makes me feel good regardless of trend :).

beth ann, i would wear these especially if comfy...but i will wear out of trend items forever if i like them. i'm bringing out my uber pointy shoe from 2004!

If so, I think the gladiator style, as long as it's not exaggerated or anything, has longevity. Plus, these particular ones are cute!

Although, I'm often a late adopter, so . . . .;-)

I have similar and find it a handy shoe for dressing-down certain outfits.
Worn with bootleg pants it looks more like a sandal, and usually this style has enough support for walking in comfort.
Reasonable price too.

Gladiators have become a mainstream classic, just like wedged sandals SANS the hectic platforms . YES, Beth Ann! Go for it.

Lucky Mag is also recommending hectically high platforms again, which to me are clearly on the way out. That said, there will still be a small market for the style, so it will continue to sell in stores for a while.

Thanks, I like the way this style anchors the foot, and this one isn't entirely flat, but has some heel molding. Summer will come, and I will be ready!
