Yublocka, when you say "stack it" do you mean crash??
I agree with San. I don't care for puffer jackets. But living in a very cold climate, I understand why people do wear them. They are very warm and the nylon fabric will keep you relatively dry during a snow shower. They will eventually saturate and soak thru, but they're good for light precip.
So, the way I see it, not only do you need to live in a cold climate, but you need to have the lifestyle that requires that kind of warmth on a regular basis. Like walking the dogs (which I believe is when Angie wears hers), or walking to work or the bus/train stop. A puffer jacket does not fit my lifestyle and would serve no purpose. Driving around in a long puffer jacket sounds cumbersome and hiking in one sounds dangerous. But if you have a need for a long warm jacket on a regular basis--then it makes sense.
