What about this dress?

I saw this dress on ASOS.com and thought it looked like a really nice summer dress (in the cream colour). But I'm wondering if it would be 'too much' (short skirt + very eyecatching sleeves + the colour and so on).
What do you girls think?

Holy cow, that dress is awesome. I know I was just worrying the other day about a dress being "too much," but really, that's an excellent dress. At the VERY least, worth trying on. It could be simple and glam and amazing.

I love this dress, but it is SHORT and I would wear it as a tunic not a dress! Slim fitting bottom anything would look good here!

I agree, this beautiful dress would be a "tunic" to me. I like it a lot, but the wearer would need to be young, tall, and with dynamite legs! Or wear it over leggings or crops or something.

ETA: or if you are extremely petite, maybe it could be worn as a dress, as is!

It is a truly lovely dress, but I agree with the other ladies, if you're not up to a lot of scrutiny/cat calls, consider wearing it as a top. But... if you need a boost it might just be what the doctor ordered!

I'm 165 cm, so average height/rather short and by taking into consideration that the model is 178 I kind of hoped that the dress wouldn't be so short on my frame I guess I could order it to try it on and wear it as a tunic if it turns out to be cute but too short.

Minerva, I think you're probably right about it being shorter on the model than on ordinary mortals. (And I was talking about the yellow dress-- apparently, I'm more comfortable with legs than curves!)

I think it's beautiful, and because it's such a soft color, I don't think it's flashy at all. Short, yes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing (like pps said, you could wear it as a tunic or rock the shortness when you feel like it!). Thumbs up from me!
