what about this Dansko?

I'm trying to put together a wishlist. Would this work for a basic MOTG shoe? Would it work with skinnies, or just under bootcuts?

I know many aren't crazy about Danskos but my feet like them and I would like to find a pair that is as attractive as I can find so I have a decent "on my feet all day" type of shoe for fall/winter.

I wear the Ryders with skinnies but they have more of a boot vibe. I am not sure I love these clogs with skinnies. I have another pair of Danskos in a mary jane style and would not wear them with skinnies, although I'd wear them with tights and a casual skirt, which probably would get some frowns too.

I really think it is all in how you wear it and how polished the rest of your outfit is. I don't see anything wrong with these.

ETA: I guess I mean showing care as opposed to "polish".

Ok, I can tell this isn't a hot topic. LOL It's ok.... I know Danskos aren't a popular thing around here. I'm thinking they would work well under bootcuts.

On the other hand, I already have ankle boots from Dansko... maybe I should just stick with those. My only hesitation there is that they are not all day shoes yet. Maybe they would be if I wore them more often.

I love my Danskos with my boot cut jeans! I have a bad back and these are wonderful for me. They are definitely all day shoes!

I am wearing my Dansko mary janes today! Inspired by Jean, with my straight leg boyfriend jeans. I don't particularly love to wear them with skinnies but do like them with all other styles of jeans. Just so long as they are PPL....

Elly, I wore them very often. I don't think it was quite daily. The only Danskos that survived my shoe purge are my ankle boots.

Since skinny jeans have become the norm in most places, I am seeing them with all kinds of footwear, not just the "correct" styles. I think they could work, can you wear your skinnies to a shoe store and try them (or something close)?

Ok, Brenda-- just wondering since you said that the ankle boots weren't all day shoes. I know some ladies that just can't wear Danksos for long. Do the ankle boots have some of the footbeds that are a bit different than the professionals?

IMO danskos could probably be worn with skinny jeans, although it isn't the best look. I think it depends on the proportions of the person. However, I do think that there are a lot of nicer Danskos and if I was going to wear them daily, I would pick one of the more funky styles, or go with the professionals in a bright color or fun pattern (I particularly like the croc styles, or the jewel tone patent pairs).

I would not wear the red ones with skinnies, but they work with every other jean leg. I think for skinnies you need more of an angled heel, or else something not quite so clunky as Danskos.

Basically-- I like it when they are worn to look intentionally funky. Otherwise they can look like "I wear the same brown pair of comfort shoes everyday."

Brenda, I sometimes wear low-heeled booties (these, specifically) with straight legs or skinny jeans. They aren't that dissimilar to the Danskos that you linked to, although a bit less chunky. What I wouldn't do is wear an open-backed clog with skinny jeans - I think that would look a bit odd. As for the Danskos that you linked to, I think it could work, since they appear to be quite a bit sleeker than the classic Dansko clog - it just depends on how the look is styled.

Elly, the reason the ankle boots aren't all-day shoes is the heel is 2.5 inches, which is the highest heel I own. They make the skin under the ball of my feet sore after awhile. I think if I wore them more often, the skin would toughen up and they would be fine for longer wearing.

You could try them with skinnies, but I think they'd work better with boo-cuts and flares. Boot-cuts and flares are healthier pants anyways, so just enjoy a healthy life in a stylish way For some reason I do find the Danskos appealing
