I love the title “Style Stretching”! At first I thought I would pass on this challenge because I like consistency in my accessories. I have eclectic style and enjoy a wide variety of silhouettes, so having some consistency in my jewelry helps me feel pulled together, and makes me feel like “me”. I like wearing the same watch and bangles all the time. I like wearing the jewelry my aunt gave me or left to me or that I received as gifts from friends or while hunting at art fairs with DH. It has sentimental value. I wear all my scarves and statement necklaces already. Nothing sits unused. My earrings are well used also.

So, my challenge will be about shoes. I have lots of them, and as the weather gets colder and rainier or snowy, I tend to get into a repetitive shoe pattern. I pick a favorite bootie and tall boot and that’s what I wear. I need to change them around and use what’s in my closet! I can wear boots for rain or snow and change into shoes or a fashion bootie once I’m at work. It means more to carry but I think it will be better for my style and my feet. That will be my challenge.........wear my shoes!

Sterling, wonderful! Sound like a great and very useful idea to try less worn accessories and document accessory-complements. It should make your dressing in the morning easier if you have ready groups of accessories to ad to your outfits. I try to do this with scarves and bags (shoes too, but I don´t have nearly as many shoes so it´s not that much work :-). As for the scarves, thinking how to help you... hm. I wear mine at work all days, but move them sometimes - tie them differently so they don´t get in the way, or if I get cold - wrap around my shoulders etc. But I am so used to them so they don´t bother me, really. One helpful trick, if you wear a knitted top, to use a large safety pin (a brooch) to pin onto the knit. Then you just wrap the ends of the scarf around the pin (or tie it to it) so the pin is not visible. It holds your scarf's ends secured in place and nobody can tell it is pinned. You avoid holes in the scarf this way, too.

Torontogirl, what a lovely idea! Pop of colour - yes. You will look beautiful in red lipstick!

Staysfit, I am so glad you changed your mind! Shoe stretching challenge (ok, sort of LOL This will be fun. I admire your ability to use all your scarves and statement necklaces - it is one of my challenges. Would love to learn more.

I am new here, but would love to join if you have room! I have been afraid to take risks and try new combos (too many days in jeans)

Hi nemosmom! How fun you want to do this challenge. You are so welcome and nice to meet you!

I tried to do a small silk scarf your way, but kinda a fail for me (was tryingto tie in the shoes). Think i need to stick to my long narrow scarves instead!

I love this idea -- style stretch. I'm going to focus on 3 types of garment that I already have well represented in my wardrobe but wear less frequently than I wish:

Blazers
Fall dresses/skirts
Pants vs. jeans

I'll also wear more booties, but I would have done that anyway, I suspect.

Well I’ve been mulling this over today. My “stylestretch” is going to be wearing statement earrings WITH a bold lip colour every day for a week. Fun! The earring part will be pretty easy but doing a bold lip each day will challenge me... I love the look though so it’ll be worth it.

Hi Katerina -- I am bumping this upward for those who have the inclination to do multiple challenges this month.

Actually I think Katerina decided to do it in November, didn't you Katerina? Because there was already Costober and the closet edit challenge going on?

Oh. I hadn't realized that. I must have missed a post. Thank you, Jenni.
