Oh, fishnet is smart!

Clearly, I need sock diversity. I like the ideas of sheer or (small) fishnet. Thought I had some simple little thin, short socks, and dumped all my socks out to find them. Came up dry. Now I know what to do with my birthday gift certificate from the sock store.

Brooklyn, glad you like it. Casual is def what I’m going for. When I do that outfit lab with the skirt after the cleaners, I’ll have to include some belts.

ETA This conversation is making it clear to me what people mean by “make it look intentional”. If the “school girl, punk rock, rebellious, harajuku elements” just look like a mistake, then I haven’t gotten it quite right. I’m glad to finally understand that idea!

This outfit reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld - the long skirt with socks and lace up shoes!

Off to find some Seinfeld episodes!

ETA #8! https://time.com/2933820/seinf.....nes-style/ Omg. It me!

We finally got into the Van Gogh Immersive exhibit today, after a series of mishaps Wed that began with me wearing the wrong bra, ended with my son needing a mask—& a break!—& went through a lost purse scare on the way.

The highlight of the exhibit was the 11-min VR at the end, which had me trying to brush off leaves & scoot over so my son could see. The earlier part, with projections on the wall, weren’t all that, but it’s a nice enough outing if anyone is thinking of going.
