I used to hate them but they have grown on me...to a point where I actually thought of getting a pair! I just don't know where I would wear them. They can be worn with class. I see them with a flowy white tunic, delicate flats or flat urban-vibe boots, & boyfriend blazer or non-(p)leather, non-black moto jacket (for the sake of contrast), and nothing else that is patent or shiny.
When I first saw them, they looked like some sort of weird bondage/S&M costume, so I think the rest of the outfit has to counter that and be a little sweeter in feeling. I don't favor them with these shoes because they just add to the bondage vibe...

I also prefer them slightly matte, like the UO leggings they recommend. The ones that look like patent leather really put me off.
