In just a few more hours, I will be 59 years old. 12 more months before a move into a new decade. Birthdays now are more about reflection than celebration and good company than expensive gifts. I am beyond fortunate to be married to a most wonderful husband whose gifts of humor, wisdom, love, patience. and kindness are true blessings. He makes me smile and one thing I have learned that a smile will improve almost any situation. Although I have recently experienced a lot of loss with the passing of my mother and several other beloved relatives, I still have much for which I am grateful, namely friends. I enjoy my friends. I am improved, protected, empowered and enlightened by my friends. You, the fabulous forum members, are my friends. I have been blessed to meet Angie and a few of the ladies in person. It was one of the most joyful occasions I had experienced in a long while. Finally, if you see a woman dressed in orange, doing cartwheels or hanging upside down from the monkey bars in a playground, that will be me. And why not? Aging is mandatory, but maturity is not.
