Oh Beth Ann, the answer to your question about what I wear Winter weekends is even more shameful than the warm-weather situation. I hadn't even thought about it until you asked! I actually wear the same shorts and t-shirts, with a hoodie on top. Sometimes some Uggs on the feet as slippers. That part isn't the shameful part. What's bad is if I still feel cold even with the hoodie ... I just grab the throw off the sofa and wear it like a sarong. I can go half the day like this! :O
Now if I leave the house to go to the dog park, I have some sweats I wear. (Husband hates the sweats -- maybe even more than the blanket-sarong, though he's no fan of that either. I guess this is why I don't wear them at home.) And if I'm going further than the dog park, I wear jeans.
In my defense, I'm on the Texas Gulf Coast (Houston area) and Winter is mercifully short. But yes, I must come up with a better plan this year!
Angie -- you are a terrific mentor for this group! Most important to me is your reminder is to be thoughtful, and this is exactly the challenge I need. If my answer to Beth Ann's question above does not prove it, I don't know what does!
Adela -- I'm honored to have provided a spark for your own weekend transformation! I think you're right that weekend wear is the perfect place for having fun with colors or patterns, especially if you need to be restrained in your everyday wear.
viva -- I can visualize that combo and it sounds fab-- probably all the better for a clean color palette doesn't compete with the citron! I have never tried a knit dress like that, but was tempted, especially at that price point ... but alas my size is gone. Maybe style to keep in the back of my mind.
