B. and I are spending a relaxing weekend at a gorgeous oceanside resort in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia. We're here with friends to celebrate a very intimate, low-key wedding. It's absolutely beautiful here, and hard to do justice with photos. I'm just brewing myself some tea-a spiced oolong and mate blend, a gift from the bride and groom-and am about to curl up in my robe on our porch overlooking the marina.
B. and I haven't had a getaway since last summer, mainly due to my having switched jobs and not having much time off accrued, let alone having the time to use it-so the wedding is a welcome excuse for some rest, beautiful scenery, and great company.
This is what I wore to a pre-wedding barbecue with the bride and groom's families last night. Did a little exploring as my chunky heels stood up to the rock and crushed shell beach soil.
