Wedge ballet "flats" - frumpy?

I need to replace my black ballet flats, and I want to get ones with a slight wedge. I want to be able to wear them with skirts/dresses as well as pants, and I don't like to wear flat-flats with skirts because I feel so short.

this shoe looks good quality and comfortable, but I am not loving the wedge sole so much
A small heel might look cuter IMO, especially when show-cased by a skirt or dress.

They look too much like what I have to wear for my plantar fasciitis foot to be cute to my eye. I'd go for a kitten heel

Kinda feels like an all-leather espadrille. I think a kitten or a short stacked heel would be better for dresses/skirts.

Yeh - I think kind of frumpy. I'd try what some of the others have suggested - or, try a wedge shoe with a pointed toe!

Well if you are looking for ballet flats, but with height, I think these are great! A kitten heel would not be a ballet flat.....

What about the pewter metallic? Or do you want to stick with black?

Hmm, maybe I just need two pairs.

I think the problem is not just the wedge, but these have that molded comfort-shoe wedge so they can veer frumpy, fast .

I love the idea of these but unfortunately they do ready potentially fumpy to me for the all the reasons mentioned above.

I'm not loving them - kind of frumpy. J.Crew has some nice wedge ballet-style shoes you might try.
