We just returned from a weekend in Napa Valley, where my niece got married on Saturday. I'm sharing a few photos, because I thought it was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen (and also because you were so helpful with my own fashion selections). The bride was breathtaking and I thought you would enjoy seeing her gorgeous dress. Mermaid style, dramatic V in front and back. Several of us literally said "Wow" in unison when we saw her enter the church. The venue was like a storybook — a small, extraordinarily charming local church, followed by a reception and dinner, featuring French cuisine, at a winery. About 30 people in all. Small, and intimate, which was really lovely.

The bride is American and the groom is French ( they live in London). She recited her vows in French and he said his in English. Toasts were translated so everyone could understand. And the music reflected both cultures, too. On to the photos...

You can see the European sensibilities reflected in the photo that shows the bride and groom with his parents, brother and best man.

Here is a photo of the bride and her dad (my brother). May show more detail of her dress.
