Wedding guest ensemble - accessories

This is the wedding guest outfit for a garden wedding in mid-June (afternoon ceremony followed by a dinner reception).

Woud love to get your opinions on accessorizing!
Option #1 - coral cardigan (Nic and Zoe 4-way cardigan). I also wanted to show the 4 different ways it can be worn (open, tied, buttoned, twisted) but I would leave it open).

Option #2 - Halogen white blazer. What about the white blazer and the off-white clutch and shoes - is it a problem?

Also, what do you think about this Elliott Lucca clutch? I was trying to find a clutch with a strap because I am not used to carrying a clutch.

I noticed that the neckline of the dress has a tendency to "stick out" - does anyone know if this can be fixed with alterations?

For the wedding the coral cardi gets my vote, but the blazer looks great with the dress, just maybe too much white for a wedding. You might take the dress to a tailor to see about the neckline. I used to have this a lot because I think the top of the dress was too big.

I like the jacket too but I didn't think about the white at a wedding etiquette. WHat a great dress.

I was wondering whether wearing a white jacket might be a bit of a problem for a wedding, which is why I figured I'll try this dress with the coral cardi.

In the past I have seen a few etiquette rules regarding colors for a wedding guest - not wearing black (but I have been to several wedding where there were lots of black dresses among guests), not wearing white or ivory head to toe, and not repeating the colors of the bridal party.

I think that rules about colors for wedding attendees are passe. As you said- people wear black (and white- as long as it isn't head to toe) all the time to weddings now.

White jacket and clutch gets my vote. I don't wear all white to weddings but I think a white jacket is perfectly OK. It doesn't look bridal!

I LOVE the white blazer with it. I think it's fine for a wedding, it's not like you'd be wearing a white dress.

I like the dressiness of the white jacket and don't think white in a topper should be a problem. The clutch and shoes look fine together. The dress is gorgeous on you.

I am old-fashioned enough to be reluctant about a white jacket at a wedding, so the coral cardi gets my vote! My favorite is the middle look -- tied at the waist! And I think the clutch is very nice!

It's interesting that the opinions are pretty evenly divided! I googled it and one of the first links that came up said "it's not polite to wear white to a wedding!" Since I don't know the bride very well, I might err on the side of caution and go with the coral cardi.
