Sorry in advance for the epic length post! I’m going to a wedding in NYC two weeks from now. It’s in the afternoon in Central Park, so outdoors. Given that the weather at this time of year can be just about anything, I’ve really only just started thinking about what to wear. Current forecast is 71F/22C.

#1 is what I thought I wanted to wear (this is the vintage dress I’ve never worn), and I think the weather would be just warm enough, but tragically it does NOT fit (I bought it about six years ago). I managed to zip it up but it’s really a nonstarter. Boohoo!! But onward.
#2 I could wear the new tulle skirt! Perhaps with this velvet top. (Of the three skirts, I think this might be easiest to dress down for other occasions, and I do want to pack light.)
#3-4 And possibly this lovely silk velvet shawl thing that my mother brought me from Paris once (maybe I’ve never worn this either?). BUT maybe this seems too evening-like.
#5 Maybe this wacky obi made of neckties makes it more daytime (and also, I really don’t love wearing all black to weddings).
#6-7 With a long-sleeved top
#8-9 A different tulle skirt! I rarely get a chance to wear this.
#10-12 A brown/black lace skirt … I like this better with heels or boots but could live with these or similar shoes.
#13 OR, heck, it’s 3pm on a spring Wednesday in Central Park, I can just wear a cheery cotton dress.
#14 Wearing today … debut (to the walls of my own home, haha) of the newly thrifted purple sweater.
