Wearing mah fancy pants - YouLookFab Forum

I’ve owned them for 25 years, loved them the moment I saw them, have never had the guts to wear them, because of the low cut waist. When I came across them earlier this year and saw that they fir again, I was determined to wear them.

Instead of treating them as super-special club wear (I don’t go clubbing), I decided to treat them like any other linen pants.
2-3 black cotton top has sequins and embroidered hem.
4 white Free people linen bodysuit
Tommy Bahamas sweatshirt (from storage locker)

Florida has been unusually cool, so I’ve been glad to have the long pants, and even the sweatshirt this evening. The pants are comfortable as can be; I think I’ll wear them quite a bit this summer. I’d love to hear what you all think of that

By all means wear them! They are very nice and fit you well, Favorite is No,4, Definetly a Florida look, but not confined to Florida.

The black and aqua tops work well them - aqua is really quite flattering on you. I agree it’s a perfect look for Florida, has the vibe. You hair is looking really good in 2

I like #4 most too! Florida definitely has hit or miss weather this time of year. When I was there it was 90 one day, then dropped each day and ended up around 60. Then I got home to 60, go figure (shrug).

How fun! I vote for crisp fabric tops rather than knits, which can skew a bit too casual.

Perfect for Florida, but I think you could wear them in pretty much any summery/beachy context. You do look really great in aqua! High-energy blue.

Star & Helena, tbh, on #4, where I had the white linen bodysuit on under the sweatshirt, I wasn’t going for “summer vibe” as much as for “warm”. The temp had dropped after sunset, down to the 60s!

Suntiger, yep, I remember when we lived here, there were a few weeks each spring when I wanted to turn on the heat and the AC in the same day. We are lucky it’s stayed cool through April!

Cat2, what shape crisp fabric top are you thinking of? I tried the one in the find, tying into the colors near the bottom of the pants, but it seemed awkward & I didn’t have time to fuss with it, so I wore the black woven top for dinner. I wore the sweatshirt hanging out with relatives on my parents’ lanai.

Sloper, I might try a bright blue silk tank top, cropped but not swingy.

Thanks Brooklyn & laPed. I’m hoping that funk will help them transition well to Berlin this summer.

I like the length of your black top, or your proposed tank. I think if you did white or light aqua with sleeves, you could wear this in the city.
