Wearing leather like leggings as pants?

I have a question about leather like leggings. These are the Lysse leggings and they are so comfortable, stretchy but keep their shape and have a high waist so they are perfect for my short waisted X shape body. is it ok to wear them as pants or should I treat them as leggings and make sure my booty and lady parts are covered? Normally I would do that, but these are pretty thick.

I think this depends on your comfort zone, these are not cotton leggings which become see through as the fabric is stretched.

Personally I would feel self conscious if the crotch point was exposed but I would not judge another person for not feeling the same.

Thanks everyone! I can't believe how comfy these are. I ended up getting a large instead of a medium so that I hopefully could wear them like this. They are not skin tight on me. Thanks Angie!

From this photo, I would wear a longer top, but it may be that sized up takes care of that. Great to find something stylish and comfortable!

I have these and only wear them with longer tops... aren't they comfy?

I like it as leggings, but if you feel comfortable using them as pants as well go for it!
(I would use them with a slightly loose sweater hipbone length, but I'm Brazilian, so I'm suspect... this would be a fairly normal look around here)

One of my problems is finding tunics that look good on my short waisted X shape. Most of the hems hit me at my largest point on my hips and don't look good in that. Many tunics are very boxy and have no waist definition. So a little longer is better, empire waisted or form fitting but the same color as my pants. Ideas welcome.

Here's a link to me wearing them with a long blazer - I think the key if you have a shorter top is a long topper like you've done. I would feel uncomfortable in these with just a tee or short top. But they are definitely not your average see-through legging!

Alaskagirl thank you! I have been looking for some of those assymetrical tunics like you've shown. This would take care of my problem with where the hem stops.

Lana, I'm a combination pear and X hourglass, and I know exactly what you're talking about with tunic difficulties! Those asymmetrical tunics that Una wears are really brilliant. They add length without emphasizing the hemline, and are fun to layer with as well. And this particular outfit looks very good on you, too! There really isn't much difference between thick, well-fitting leggings and certain skinnies.

I never want to see anyone's front parts in pants like this - unless you're at the gym. I don't mind part of a backside being exposed (if it's a good backside - lol) but crotch points? Never a fan of that look. I wear leggings like this all the time - but with coverage. Just my 2c worth

Thanks for helping me think this through. I remembered I have a tunic length Three Dots black tank which would work for coverage under anything. I'm also considering something like this from your recommendations.

Leggings and Tunic. The college girls are all wearing leggings as pants and it's not a good look. I know because I walked behind them on campus going up the steps. Not a good view IMO.

Just want to add that you're darling and have a great figure - if college girls don't look good in leggings as pants then there's no hope for any of us.
