Thanks all for confirming that it wasn't just me who was confused!
rachylou, that flouncy orange dress was even the "Wear-to-Work" banner on the front page of the site! I thought, "Surely they grabbed the wrong stock image," but... apparently they grabbed exactly the image they meant to!
Dianna and Thistle, I love the range of lives and lifestyles that we have on the forum here. I'm in a more traditional office, which has casualized a bit over the years but not entirely (and sometimes I sit with the techies, and sometimes I meet with the people we support, so my work wardrobe has a sliding scale of formality). But even across our varied lives, it sounds like it's slim pickings in that sale for the work-appropriate stuff! (There were a couple of structured, closer-to-knee-length dresses and a few toppers that could pass muster in my workplace, but I really had to scroll way down to find those...)
approprio, Emily K, and kkards, Exactly, it's already such a challenge to navigate work dress standards, overt and hidden. I made my fair share of dressing mistakes earlier in my career (not in this particular direction, but I still wince when I think of some of my old "work" clothes), but... this collection, presented broadly as workwear, doesn't help the confusion.
