Wear or donate: old woven wrap shirts

I have saved quite of few old favorites in the holding zone to re-evaluate when the style comes back, and now seems to be the right time to do so for a bunch of wrap tops, since both waist definition and 70's are trending.

Here are 4 woven cotton-rich wrap shirts/blouses for your consideration. I have shown them all with the same high waisted pale flare jeans. They are:
1. A cropped white peplum-esque
shirt ( #1 and #2)
2. A classic white burn-out shirt (#3 and #4)
3. Sleeveless pale lemon shirt, the only shade of yellow that is flattering on me (#5)
4. Dark cool brown safari style wrap top (#6)

I am hoping to learn which are current enough to wear again and what types of pants/jeans would they look the best with. I know that they all would work with pencil and full skirts but I do not get to wear skirts very often.

All the tops are fab pieces on their own.

Tanya, I think #1 looks odd with the flares - too short for that style of top. Two distinctively opposing waistlines on one outfit don't work to my eye. Too your point - fab for skirts though.

#3 - kind of the same problem. The waistline on the wrap top is very high and you can still see the waistline of the jeans above the hem. Nice top though.

#5 and #6 are a little better with the flares because they are longer. Although your teal peplum works best with flares because it's a better length for your long torso.

To make sure I understand you correctly, I should stick with skirts for both white tops? And the yellow and brown sort of work with flares, but not the best? Should I try those with slimmer/straigther pants?

I think #1 looks too short on you and I would pass that on. The others look better -- 5 is the best in terms of fit. How do you feel in them? Are you looking forward to wearing them?

To me, the yellow would be most useful for doing the current 70s look (is that an oxymoron?)

I vote pass on the second one, keep the yellow and the brown. I like these two the best. I am not sure about 1, I think you have many more fab tops in the closet and wonder if you would turn to this one?

I think #1 looks dated (I think the empire seam and the short length seem very mid-2000s to me). The second white one looks pretty classic. The yellow and the brown both look pretty current as well. I think I like the yellow best personally.

I think all these tops look wonderful on you. I think #1 is super cute and would love to see it with a high-waisted skirt. I love the waist definition these tops provide. Not sure about them with the flares, but I think they would work with other bottoms.
