I like the shorts, especially the yellow one's which are lovely with all the blue shades you have for tops. The sleeveless shells are a nice way to keep the t-shirt vibe without wearing a t-shirt. I also think mixing in different silouhettes, especially peasant tops is a nice idea. If you liek to layer in the heat, perhaps some tops with lace or holes where you can sport a tank underneath will had some texture to your looks. Smart move to think ahead before the season is in full force.

Thank you, Ingunn, sarah, and Tanya! I’m glad the yellow shorts are getting a thumbs up. I found some BF style shorts in colors at Gap that I’m going to try. If they work out, I’ll return the blue ones.

@Laura: Thanks for the shopping tips. I tried the Loft outlet but didnt’ find anything--perhaps ON. They had some tissue weight cropped sweaters that might fit the bill. I’m just not sure if they will be the right length on me.

@Aida: Okay, I just ordered mint--we’ll see how they work out. I was going to get tomato red but you have such good color sense that I’m ignoring myself and listening to a pro! Thanks!

@Brenda: Thanks for the suggestion. I will check those out at Target. I think DD got one last year for a dance, come to think of it.

@Diana: LOL! Thank you. Let me tell you, I’ve gotten a lot of blisters trying to perfect my sandal collection. It’s been trial and error. I tend to agree that the blazers are too much for real life--I think even the N&Z will be too hot (blue and red, btw.) I’m probably better off with a sweater.

@Lisa: Great ideas! I haven’t had much luck with peasant tops but am definitely open to the style. I love the idea of a lacy top except that sometimes I don’t want to have to wear a tank too. I have a cold shoulder top from last year that I loved--perhaps I should look for more of those.

Woo fun! I like both green shorts options. Tomato red would also work, but I think you'll find the mint more versatile since it'll pair pretty seamlessly with all of your blues. Hope they work out, too!
Thanks for the suggestions, Aida. I hope these bad boys fit! Will keep you posted I love the red but think it would look too patriotic and classic for me (with all of my blues and blacks.) Mint is a great call--never would have picked that on my own.
