WDYT of this coat?

I saw this wool shawl collar coat online at Target and I'm thinking of buying it as an early Christmas present to myself:

I definitely don't want black. The winter white is very luxurious looking, but the bright pops of color are calling to me too.

And the price point is perfect. So what say you?

And if its a yes, then help me choose a color!

I think this could be a tricky coat to wear. I love the oversize shawl collar that gives it a retro vibe. But unless the fit is good and a person has *just* the right body type, it could swamp one or appear a bit bathrobe-like.

This coat would be an occasional piece where I live because it would not be warm enough for every day wear. For that reason, I'd choose a pop of colour. WHICH colour would depend on the rest of your wardrobe and your own colouring. For myself i would pick fuchsia!

I think the fact that it buttons down, in addition to the belt, would make it more structured.

But for $50 + free shipping I can always try it out and return it if it doesn't work.

I'm thinking the teal will look nice. I'll post a pic when it comes so I can get everyone's opinion.

I like the teal best, too (or maybe the bright pink). In the photo it looks pretty and I will be interested in how it fits.

i like the teal but like a former post said this style can be tricky to wear for a bigger bust and apple like me but i still love the coat.

Ok, so I tried this coat on in Target in the black and Suz, you were so right. Because of the way the coat was cut, the belt just made everything bunch up around my waist and it was not flattering AT ALL.

Sorry about the no pic, but the two ladies that worked at Target that passed me totally agreed.

Bummer.
