Waxed jeans, burgundy blazer & silver jacket - help!

I'd love some feedback!

These are by far the best of the waxed jeans I've tried on. Better than Paige, JBrand, or Hudson. They're AG and kind of a muted plum color, which I like a lot. I also like that they are not so short on me. They don't exactly make my thighs look tiny, and the light is making it hard to get a decent pic, but what do you think?

I've been noticing that I am appreciating looks that dress down blazers and spotted this Elizabeth & James on sale, in a great shade of burgundy with leather trim. Opinions?

And last, a silver Trouvé jacket that I love, but I wonder if this is a silhouette I already have in excess. But it's silver!

I think the pants look great on you. I like the dark jacket better, but I think a jacket like the silver would be great for the evening.

i forgot about ag, my other go-to brand. how fantastic you look in these pants. really like it with the burgundy. i think you can go with oversized sweaters, either cropped like ironkurtin, or long and baggy.

also, are there other colors? black waxed is very biker chic but can veer really close to biker chick!

They're not as dark as they look in the photo -- actually not black but very dark purplish color. I like that they're not black!

The Paige's were close. They are dark blue.

Janet, those jeans are great. And that's a super colour. I have a pair of waxed jeans in that approximate colour and I like it much more than black for this look. Those are a definite yes.

I understand your attraction to the silver jacket but it isn't coming across all that well here, i suspect, or maybe just isn't "the one."

I really like the other jacket. All comes down to whether it passes the outfit/ capsule test.

I really like the jeans. Great color, looks like a good fit.

The burgundy jacket looks nice. I could see you getting a lot of wear out of it.

The silver jacket is just not a 10. Not sure how much use you would get, but if you want silver, I vote hold out for a better fit.

I like the jeans. I have a pair of AG jeans (Stilt) and adore them. The burgundy is great. The silver is a bit too disco ball for my taste.

I love the burgundy jacket better, too, and am trying to figure out why the silver isn't getting much love. Maybe if you were to style it differently, assuming you want and have need for both?

What Anna said. Jeans look good - although I would also have liked to see a size up. LOVE the burgundy blazer. Leave the silver at the store.

Really like the jeans and the burgundy blazer. The silver, not so much and I don' love the fit. But it may also be that it has a futuristic look going on, and I'm just not into that. It also would look better with a different black top, and less skin exposed. Its just a lot going on.

I thought about sizing up, but the next size up was not available, and I wore them for a while while trying on tops and could feel them easing enough that I could feel how baggy butt syndrome would set in with a larger size. I swear these photograph as though they're tighter than they really are. I did notice with other ones I tried sizing up on that all the difference in size seemed to be at the waist and high hip, which is exactly where I do not need more room. In fact, the Paige's in my usual size were too roomy in the crotch and waist, which is odd because Paige's usually fit me so well.

Una, I did try some R&S -- they weren't bad (my houndstooth jeans are by them), but they were only available in a shade of burgundy very similar to burgundy jeans I already own, and I couldn't see duplicating the color.

Without reading the other comments, I'm LOVING the blazer, could go either way on the jeans, and not feeling the silver jacket... though I do understand the attraction.

The jeans and the darker jacket are perfect Janet. You look amazing:). I definitely see the attraction of the silver jacket but I don't think it's good enough for you.
