I actually just emailed Blondo (inspired by this thread) because I bought a pair of Blondos this year that is seeing heavy wear. Here is what the company responded:
"We have checked into this and we would like to inform you that you can buy a spray protector for leather & waterproof material from any shoe shop that you have nearby. You can spray them at the beginning of each season and once or twice now, in winter.
"If you see any sign of water/salt filling it, you can take the boots to a dry cleaner to wash them, as they have special solutions and after that, to spray them."
I hadn't thought of taking shoes to the dry cleaners. My cobbler has something called "De-salter Stuff" that he uses to get rid of salt stains on shoes.
