Yesterday's post about colored mascara has given me a hankering to try purple or plum mascara. (Mascara is pretty much the only makeup I wear on a somewhat regular basis, not every day but with some regularity.) My problem though is that I absolutely need it to be waterproof. My lack of bottom lashes + facial bone structure means that non-waterproof mascara transfers almost instantaneously to the skin below my eyes as soon as I blink. (It also sometimes smudges on my specs). I definitely do not want purple or green raccoon eyes!

But most waterproof mascaras only come in black and occasionally brown! =(

A cursory search on the Sephora website found this one Givenchy purple, which looks promising, but is A) on the expensive side (I wouldn't mind paying that price if I knew it was something I'd use regularly, but this is just an experiment), and B) has a weird chunky brush (my eyelashes are relatively short and sparse, so I need a pretty small, fine brush. The big volumizing brushes just end up making a big mess on me.)

So, has anyone found a colored waterproof mascara that won't break the bank? I'd love to be able to try several colors too!
