Watch charm bracelet

I've bought a miniature watch charm similar to this one

which i'd like to turn into a charm bracelet. I can't decide whether to add random charms to it or choose a theme or add beads like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gorgeous.....1011wt_732
(but not quite so many)

I kind of like the idea of adding charms that are "random" but personal to you. That's the fun of charm bracelets, they can be totally personal. If there is something you really love, you could do a charm bracelet based on that theme. If you travel, get a charm that represents each place you've been, or if you like dogs, get dog themed charms, something like that.

I was thinking things that are me, my initial, a cat, birthstone etc was just hoping it wasn't naff! x

I think fewer charms would give a more refined look, where as lots of charms would be more bohemian. I think personalising your charm bracelet would be authentic rather than naff. I like the idea of accumulating the charms over time.

Hum that's an idea collecting them over time like a couple a year, special occasions etc. That will take some patience on my part, i'm a very 'want it now' person, but it will certainly make for a special bracelet. Thanks Julie

You could maybe try buying inexpensive beads at present and replace them with the meaningful charms when you come across them.

You're good at this Julie. E bay have got some dead cheap charms, perhaps i'll pick up a load of them and like you say replace them with more expensive ones in the future Thanks again x

This could look really fab, Louise! Such great suggestions from Julie and Ana. Personally, I think less is more with this look. Pick three fabulous statement good quality charms and stick to that.
