Our weather is yet to turn cool but I find I like to start thinking about Autumn/Winter additions about now. I have been working off my wish lost and so far have stuck to it and purchased faux leather/ponte leggings, an oversized black dress and a black knit tunic. So far so good.

I have fallen a quite hard for this dress and am considering ordering it. As is my preference it could be worn over leggings or bare legs.

Worth trying? I am wondering if it might make me look like a brick!

That is a really beautiful dress! It's hard to know about the shape though as it is sort of a cross between a shift and arty/drapey. I am great in shifts but feel like this would swallow me up. You are great in arty/drapey, so it could work on you. I would say it's worth a try -- I actually can picture you in this, Deborah.

I can't wrap my head around the fact that you are starting to think about autumn/winter. So, so strange!

I love this!! I never find great pieces like this in gray (gosh it's arduous enough in black!) I think this is fabulous. Needless to say, only trying it on will tell but I love the print. So elegant!! I've been looking for something just like this FYI!!

Griffin it's just as Asos dress. Not pricey and I'm not sure of the quality but I am happy with the oversized black dress...that was Monki from Asos. I can post the link if you are interested.

Oh yes, worth a try indeed. You will have to try it on to be able to judge drape and so on, so if the return policy is ok, you have little to lose. I can definitely see why you are drawn to it - it is very much your style. Beautiful dress!

Deborah - I've never ordered from asos before. I may, if you order it, see what you think of sizing and quality. But I really like the print. So, I'll be very interested in what you decide to do. Will definitely check asos out! Thanks for the intell!!
Update: how do you find anything on that site it's huge?!! So I searched under monki, I think it's the only style they did not have on the usa site. I told you, I'm not lucky!! I'll just have to enjoy seeing it on you!

I think this dress is gorgeous and very much your style. The colors will work beautifully with your hair. I think it's worth trying if possible.

I think it goes well with your style. I find that this sort of dress (shapeless, drapey) has to be tried on to know if it will look good or not.

Thanks so much ladies. I will work our the sizing tonight and order it. I have a wedding in April and it's in the garden and then in a tent outdoors, I thought his dress might dress up nicely for it??

I have found ASOS sizing to be TTS.
When it is a non-Asos brand I have gone to the particular clothing brand's size chart for more information.

Thanks for the feedback Lyn:). According to the charts my hips are a size 16?? In dresses, particularly with no stretch, I'm a 14.. When I wear separates I'm a 10 or 12. So I ordered the dress in 14.... fingers crossed.

Deborah, love the print and colour, would look great on you. The back view seems a bit weird, but it could be the way the model is standing. Glad you are going to give it a try.

Love the fabric and the drape of the dress. I do think that a more tailored shoulder line and sleeve would be even better --- they provide the structure for the dress to hang on, IYKWIM. Can't wait to see it on!
