I have always had the problem of wardrobe orphans. Lots of them! Many items hang in my closet year after year with the tags still on them. This is very frustrating and a waste of my money and my time spent shopping for these items. Why does this happen? I have been contemplating this for a while. First off, I am very hard to fit (short waisted, large thighs, thin calves, tummy ) and usually have to try on tons of items before I come across something that fits. When I finally find that elusive item I do try to think about what I have in my wardrobe that will go with it but I am often wrong and then realize I have purchased yet another orphan. This usually leads to a rabbit trail of buying items I hope will work but don’t. Eventually the poor little orphan gets hung in the back of the closet with the other orphans and I put it out of my mind. Do any of you Fabbers struggle with the problem of wardrobe orphans? How do you go about solving this? Would you gather up the orphans and take them out shopping at b&m stores so you can try them on with complementary items? Or order a bunch of things online to try on at home? Or maybe return the orphan if you haven’t let too much time go by? I am determined to break this habit and learn to be a better shopper in the future!
