What a wonderful thread. Great idea, Bijou, and beautiful shoes. I can see you wearing those for a long while. They are the kind of shoes that does not date and every time you pull it out of your closet, you will smile. I'm with Angie, though. I think you need a new wardrobe pet (or two) to coordinate.

Apart from gear items (of which I have bought quite a few) I have bought very little so far this year -- just a pair of chambray pants, a silk shirt (pre-season for fall, got on sale) and a couple of basic BR tops (the ones Angie made a Top Pick).
But I was coming home from the eye doctor the other day and made a completely unplanned purchase that I think will bring me joy and certainly sparked joy in the moment. These Earth sandals. Which were marked down to $39 CAD. Comfort factor is extraordinary (to the point where I immediately took off the sandals I'd been wearing and put these on instead!)
A pretty, comfortable shoe is one of life's great joys, right? Right.
I still smile at my fun thrifting purchase last autumn, too. Only wore it twice, but I think I will have it in the closet a good long time.
