Hi All-

I am shopping for new glasses (or specs as Angie would say). I ordered a number of trial sets and have picked three and wanted to see if these glasses work for me. These were the best from Warby Parker for me. Incidentally, WP has very few narrow bridge and short temple frames. Out of scores of frames only a small handful fit.

I would consider buying more than one pair because my prescription has changed enough that my old glasses feel off. I am also wearing glasses more as my contact lenses are starting to irritate my eyes these days.

The first pair are the Nedwins in Amber.

The third are Nedwin again in Summer Green which I only tried because I was blown away by Angie's green specs

I also included a photo of myself without glasses for comparison.

I vote strongly for #3! Love the shape and color! #1 are my least fave; something about the shape makes them seem somehow droopy, just the slightest bit.

I'm with Rae, voting for 3. I like them with your coloring and also like the light colored parts of the frames; interesting without being distracting.

Wow, number 3? I was only trying those on for fun and didn't think they looked that good on me.

Pic 1 & 3 are the same frame just in different colors. Hmm... maybe the selfie angle makes one frame look droopy? If droop is an issue perhaps the green frame doesn't work either?

Number three! Make your eyes look amazing, lighter in color makes them not so "heavy" as the others' visual weights.

I love my Warbys. I ordered them without even doing the trial thing and they worked out.

Because of your darker hair and eyes, it looks to my eye like the nuances of the brown colors in the first two glasses aren't as distinct, at least in the photos, so they don't read as sharply and distinctly as the lighter color. The lighter green plays up the pink of your lips and cheeks well. Do you have any green or gold in your irises as well?

I like #2, but I like glasses that blend and don't stand out. Also, the shape of 2 looks very nice for your features. Are they light weight?
Number 3 looks nice, too, maybe a little softer than number 2.

Absolutely love #3 -- both shape and color. They bring the full attention to your lovely eyes.

I prefer the Nedwin shape, the rounded edges compliment your face shape rather than compete with it. I do like this style of frame in both color variations.

#3 is hands down best from this selection. Love the light colour. xo

Another vote for #3! Interesting - the fun color is actually low contrast with your skin and is not as "loud" as I would have expected based on the color alone. I agree with karymk that the lighter color complements your skin and eyes and the other two seem "heavy" in comparison.

I like 2 the best. I don't mind the color of 3 but the shape of 2 seems better.

I just went through this myself- and posted. The comments were really helpful; somehow when it comes to glasses I think we just see ourselves differently than everyone else does. It was soo helpful to get feedback! But also I felt more self-conscious posting spec photos than clothes photos- stressful!

My vote is #3 as well. Followed by #1 and #2 a very far last place. According to Angie's post on choosing specs, I think #2 doesn't "lift your eye" as she says. #3 brightens your face, though!

#3 among this lot but I want to say that I think you can do better. Perhaps try a larger assortment. I know it is tough to try in store with a little one in tow.

Thank you for all the feedback! I think I'll hold off and try some more pairs in store before deciding. The right pair is out there, I'm sure.

My husband's coloring is similar to yours. I convinced him to check out the green Nedwin, the Downing and one other metallic pair the name of which I forget. I really liked the green ones on him and made him order them. He is a bit worried they will be girlie man, but he has a smaller, narrow face and I really liked the color green on him. This is not to put you off, but to say I like those glasses. He did the home try on, which helps a lot.

I see I'm not alone in liking #3! You look quite lit up in them. The darker ones feel a little DMV to me. They make me think of having to deal with forms In triplicate...

The color of #3 really is pretty and I like that they're more rounded--I don't think you look best in all straight lines because your face has pretty curves. I do wonder if they're a little on the wide side for your face though.
