Wanted: Outfit Ideas for Cobalt Jeans

I've been eyeing jeans in this colour all spring/summer and they were $15. The button fly is not quite my taste, but $15! Especially after I had just tried on a pair with a similarly snug/cropped fit at the gap for $80....

Busted. It was totally an impulse buy.

If any of you creative ladies can help me out with some outfit inspiration for these jeans, it would be greatly appreciated, though I suppose if I only wear them a handful of times it is no big deal. The blazer #2 and tank #3 are on their way to me and I have some oversized burnout tees in white that I think will go well with the jeans for weekend wear, but that is all I have come up with.

I'm wearing cobalt cropped trousers at work today and have paired them with a short sleeved blue print peplum top, a navy cardie and nude peep toe wedges.

For a casual look, you could always go with a white vest and white Converse and if you want to dress them up, you could try a colour block theme with pointed courts.

I've worn mine with a t-shirt with black and white stripes and a black jacket (see photo 1). I add two more suggestions!

This is the inverse (cobalt on top), but I bet it would work with cobalt skinnies and teal + purple on top.

I have some dark cobalt cropped trousers and I've found them to be surprisingly versatile. Despite their dark color I've worn them with a black lace top and other black things. Other colors I've had success with are white (obviously), gray, certain shades of purple, red (hard to avoid being patriotic with this though), and a light (seafoamy) green. Mine are almost jewel tone-y, which makes them work well with other jewel tones.

Have fun with them! I've really been loving mine.

You can dress these up or casual them down. Cobalt goes with so many colors. Black, white, grey, pink, orange, red just to name a few. You can take these into winter with a sweater and boots. I think you will get tons of wear from them and what a great buy!

I love all the suggestions above! If you go color blocked you can wear them with almost any other color of equal intensity and of course, paired with black, white, and gray you can't go wrong either! I think yellow would be lovely with it too.

Thanks for all the great ideas and inspiration! I'll have to dive in to my closet and see what I come up with when I get home. Luckily I own loads of white, black and grey.... I am thinking a cardigan or topper of some sort in raspberry might be in order.
